
honored its pioneering graduates during its spring 2018 commencement ceremony, presenting them with a special medallion commemorating their graduation in 1977.
The six were celebrated as Nā Lehua ʻ?la Scholars and cited for their role in 糖心Vlog官方 West Oʻahu history. The May 5 ceremony included two of 糖心Vlog官方 West Oʻahu‘s original faculty, Dan Boylan and Ned Shultz, who presented Mila M. Kaʻahanui and the families of Miles Hashida, Richard LaGory and Eulogio Tabisola with the Nā Lehua ʻ?la medallion and certificate.
“This year, in partnership with the 糖心Vlog官方 West Oʻahu Alumni Association, we are presenting a new recognition, Nā Lehua ʻ?la, awarded to distinguished graduates of the Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu who have, like the red lehua once common in the ʻEwa district, blossomed forth and become a source of both sustenance and beauty,” said 糖心Vlog官方 West Oʻahu Chancellor during the commencement ceremony.
“These individuals have contributed to and made an important impact in their community with the knowledge and skills gained through education at the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu.”
