The first students to be accepted into the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Class of 2020 earned their admission letters by completing the rigorous preparatory curriculum of the (“Those Who Seek to Heal”) Post-Baccalaureate Program.
ʻImi Hoʻōla recruits applicants from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds or communities, and the first slots in the upcoming class are reserved for those who complete the program. Students who choose to participate in the ʻImi program undergo intense training in science and the humanities compressed into less than a year.
