As part of her month-long term as the spring 2016 , renowned American political activist, scholar and author Angela Davis is guest teaching a graduate course on American punishment at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. On Friday, April 8, she also gave a keynote presentation to a packed crowd at 糖心Vlog官方 Mānoa’s Kennedy Theatre.
“Honestly, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said 糖心Vlog官方 Mānoa graduate student Misha Matsumoto. “When else are you going to be able to have one-on-one conversations with someone like Angela Davis and having her in class today was a phenomenal experience.”
