I regularly see a sulfur butterfly at Kauai Coffee Company’s fields, and it may well be Abaeis nicippe.

I spotted it on 10/5/15 @6:32am and I took some photos of it since it was still. Hopefully it’s not harmful to any of the native Hawaiian plants.

It was headed towards Oahu, flying effortlessly about 10-20 feet above ocean swells. The winds and seas were very light. Very few birds out at the time.
Interesting sight.
