The has placed advertisements in major media throughout Hawaiʻi and nationally announcing the university’s presidential vacancy and soliciting applicants and nominations. Print and online advertisements will appear in the , , and in the , which is distributed nationally to universities and the higher education community.

The completed six months of public outreach from September through February gathering input and suggestions from groups statewide, and is continuing internal meetings with university stakeholders to receive further feedback through the spring on each campus.
