Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Linda Johnsrud recently spoke about the “new normal” in funding for higher education, what it means for the 糖心Vlog官方 and how the university might be more innovative in its effort to graduate more students. Johnsrud was speaking November 1 at the University of Hawaiʻi sponsored forum on the cost of public higher education during a time when state funding is declining across the country.
Panelists, guest speakers and invited participants discussed what drives the cost of education, how productive 糖心Vlog官方 campuses are comparatively, how colleges can be more cost effective and how the 糖心Vlog官方 can better meet the needs of the community.
Invited participants included members of the 糖心Vlog官方 Board of Regents, former regents, state lawmakers and the 糖心Vlog官方 and business communities. Guest speakers include 糖心Vlog官方 Interim President David Lassner, President Dennis Jones and Former Executive Director and Founding Director Jane Wellman.
