LRB Library is a specialized legislative library, its primary purpose is to provide research, reference and information services to the Legislature and legislative staff. It is a repository of state legislative documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:8px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Required Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>LIS 601: Introduction to Reference &amp; Information Services<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:8px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Desired Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>LIS 605: Metadata Creation for Information Organization<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:8px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Weekly Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are flexible to accommodate work between the hours of 7:45-4:30 Monday-Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:8px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Goals and Outcomes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Practical knowledge of MARC cataloging; use of Library of Congress Subject Headings; learn use of open-source Integrated Library system \u2013 Koha; learn the legislative process and the information resources available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:8px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Evaluation Methods<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Interns will be supervised by a librarian and be expected to progress in knowledge and skills throughout the semester.
