The collections document the people, history, culture, and politics of Hawai\u2019i. These collections support scholarly research, teaching and public awareness, as well as promote an understanding of Hawai\u2019i\u2019s rich multicultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Required Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>LIS 651 Archival Arrangement &amp; Description (which itself has a prerequisite of LIS 654 Archival Ethics &amp; Professions) and LIS 658 Archival &amp; Special Collections Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Desired Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Good organizational and computer skills. Experience or knowledge of preservation issues of historical material. Willingness to pursue research to develop knowledge about the collection(s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Weekly Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hours are flexible: 10-12 hours per week to be scheduled between 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday (150 hours total).
