Internship Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This internship will provide the opportunity to observe and participate in collection management, reference, programming and other aspects of operations in a large public library. The applicant will be able to work at 4 different reference desks, Adult Nonfiction; Adult Fiction, Audio Visual and Hawaiiana; Young Adult and Children\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Library\/Collection Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Kapolei Public Library is the newest and second largest of the 51 libraries in the Hawai\u02bbi State Public Library System. The Library\u2019s collection, which is now approximately up to 125,000 items, will grow considerably over the next year. We have a full time staff of 24, and emphasize providing quality programming and public service in a friendly, yet professional, environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
