An \u02bb\u014dlelo no\u02bbeau speaking about the importance of ancestors and kumu (sources). Learn how a project,that started as a small seed in an LIS class, grew into a tree of sources that help our l\u0101hui and Hawai\u02bbi communities to find their roots.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presenter Bios:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kylie Flood is the Hawaiian Pacific &amp; Adult Collections Librarian at N\u0101n\u0101kuli Public Library. Collection development, programming, displays, and community engagement are a large part of her k\u016bleana at N\u0101n\u0101kuli Public Library. She received her Masters in Library Information Science at the University of Hawa\u02bbi at M\u0101noa in 2016. Kylie attributes her success, resiliency, and industriousness to all her k\u016bpuna who came before her and to the village of \u02bbohana and hoaloha who continue to guide her.<\/p>\n<p>Kawena Komeiji is from Nu\u02bbuanu, Kona, O\u02bbahu with ancestral roots in Waialua and Ko\u02bbolauloa moku. Kawena currently lives and works in Honouliuli, \u02bbEwa, O\u02bbahu as the Hawai\u02bbi-Pacific Resources Librarian in the James and Abigail Kuaihelani Campbell Library at the University of Hawai\u02bbi \u2013 West O\u02bbahu. As an aloha \u02bb\u0101ina \u02bboia\u02bbi\u02bbo and a fierce proponent for ea, she enjoys working with the l\u0101hui Hawai\u02bbi and giving back to the \u02bb\u0101ina that has sustained her \u02bbohana for generations.<\/p>\n<p>Michiko Joseph is from M\u0101kaha, O\u02bbahu. She is currently serving as the Interim Library Director at the University of Hawai\u2018i West O\u02bbahu where she is primarily responsible for the planning efforts, budgeting, personnel, and assessment at the 糖心Vlog官方WO library.
