The attackers want your 糖心Vlog官方 username and password, and are using several tactics to try and catch you off-guard which include:\n\t<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using compromised 糖心Vlog官方 email accounts (including valid signatures) to send out these phishing emails, which may belong to one of your business or personal contacts<\/li>\n<li>Threatening termination of your account if you don&#8217;t respond<\/li>\n<li>Asking you to click on a link and login to view a confidential document stored in Dropbox, Google Drive or other cloud storage services<\/li>\n<li>Impersonating legitimate organizations, such as the IRS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n   To keep yourself from becoming a victim, remember to &#8220;<a aria-label=\"Jump-to-searphish-heading\" href=\"#searphish\">SEAR the Phish<\/a>.&#8221; <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"searphish\">SEAR the Phish!<\/h2>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-sm\">\n            <a href=\"..\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin:auto\" src=\"..\/..\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2020\/06\/searlogo.png\" alt=\"SEAR the Phish Logo\" \/><\/a>\n        <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\nPhishing emails tend to be threatening, or it has a sense of urgency within the email. Responding to one could allow your account to be compromised, and your information stolen. To prevent this, remember to <strong>SEAR<\/strong> the email <strong>before responding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>S<\/strong>TOP<\/td>\n<td>Don\u2019t panic and don\u2019t be too quick to click on email links even if the message looks urgent and threatening.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>E<\/strong>XAMINE<\/td>\n<td>Look at the email closely.  Does the message look suspicious, does the link look unusual, does the request make sense?<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>A<\/strong>SK<\/td>\n<td>Question the sender (if you know him\/her personally).  Check with the ITS Help Desk (<a href=\"mailto:help@hawaii.edu\">help@hawaii.edu<\/a>) to determine if the email is legitimate or not.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>R<\/strong>EPORT<\/td>\n<td>Notify ITS if you receive any 糖心Vlog官方-related phishing emails by forwarding it to <a href=\"mailto:phishing@hawaii.edu\">phishing@hawaii.edu<\/a>. Learn how to report a suspicious email at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/askus\/898\">https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/askus\/898 <i class=\"fa fa-external-link\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>\n\t\tAlways remember that the University of Hawai&#8216;i will not arbitrarily solicit personal information from you. You should never reply to those requests. If you\u2019re not sure you responded to a phish, <a href=\"#hooked\">change your password immediately<\/a>.\n\t<\/p>\n<h2>Phishing Tips<\/h2>\n<p>\nDon\u2019t be victimized by these phishing messages, remember the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be vigilant about protecting personal information, such as your 糖心Vlog官方 username and password and your social security number. <strong>Never<\/strong> respond with any personal information (like your social security number) to an unsolicited email.<\/li>\n<li>Be careful when clicking on links in unsolicited messages, particularly when the link points to a website that does not begin with www.hawaii.edu or (something).hawaii.edu.<\/li>\n<li>Be safe, if you think you may have provided your 糖心Vlog官方 username and password in response to a phishing message, change your password immediately. You can check your <a aria-label=\"Google@糖心Vlog官方-content-link-1\" href=\"https:\/\/hawaii.edu\/google\">Google@糖心Vlog官方 <i class=\"fa fa-external-link\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/a> login activity by following the instructions at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/askus\/1587\">https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/askus\/1587 <i class=\"fa fa-external-link\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"hooked\">I&#8217;ve been hooked!<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>\nIf you responded to a phish, <strong>change your password immediately!<\/strong> 糖心Vlog官方 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/username\/\">https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/username\/ <i class=\"fa fa-external-link\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/a> to change your password. If you use the same password on other sites like your bank or social media accounts, you need to change those passwords as well.\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<p>\n<strong>NOTE:<\/strong> If you receive an error when trying to change your password, it is possible your 糖心Vlog官方 Username has been disabled.
